One of Belgium's historical and tourist highlights, the Abbaye de Villers (Villers Abbey) is situated in Walloon Brabant, just 30 km from Brussels.
Unconventional and timeless, this is one of the most complete sites in Europe, a genuine concentration of over 900 years of history and knowledge in all fields including architecture, daily life, water management, etc. Classified as an exceptional heritage site of Wallonia, the Abbey offers a brand new visitor centre and visitor route opened in June 2016. The site is an inexhaustible source of activities for all ages throughout the year. In particular, you can discover our new model room, our interactive room, our many themed gardens, the Abbey's animals including certain rare breeds such as our Skyros ponies, of which there are only 200 individuals surviving worldwide! By visiting the Abbey, you can also discover its craft micro-brewery and vineyard. Once your mouth begins to water, you'll be keen to enjoy some in our brewery tavern.
We are also open to companies and for events, offering site hire, incentives and the hire of meeting rooms or even our sumptuous Roman cellar. Due to these efforts, we are proud to attract over 100,000 visitors annually, introducing as many people as possible to our wonderful Walloon heritage.
