For five years, Wallonia-Brussels International has been supporting the publication of the Belgo Comics catalogue - available in English and French - which highlights the latest publications of the creative comics publishing houses of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
Based on a principle that unites all the publishing houses represented here, namely the desire for something beautiful, this tool is intended to be as much a promotional tool as a place of enjoyment and discovery: the artwork is detachable, and the front and back covers have been specifically commissioned by authors. The first was created this year by a young author, Adlynn Fischer, who has just published her first comic book, L'Eté du vertige (Ed. La Ville brûle). The fourth is the creation of Liège-based author Fifi, a key figure of micro-publishing in Wallonia, who has just contributed to the new version of Petites Mythologies liégeoises (Ed. Tetras Lyre) since they have now been illustrated... by her.
This year, almost 19 editorial structures are presented: experimental narratives, essays, children’s stories, traditional comics, science fiction adventures, etc. There is something for everyone!
